@Angela Thanks! Enjoy the weekend. Keep a backup plan in case one of those storms heads your way. If you have cell service there you can take our newsnet5 App with you and get on this chat from there!
@Angela When are you headed there? It won't be a washout of a weekend by any means. In fact, most of today will be dry. Sunday will have a few more t-showers and the steady rain arrives Monday
I'm here for all of your questions about this weekend's weather. Here's a quick poll!
@Jennifer lake Erie is about 575 feet above sea level. there is a quick rise east of Cleveland on the escarpment but west stays pretty flat
@Brandy I don't expect any major wind with this system
@MonkieMonks Good morning! I'd plan on late Tuesday if anything. By then it should be on its way out. The good news is that we dry out toward the end of next week. Thu & Fri should be great!
@Brandy It will get a bit breezy (15-20mph) Sun-Mon. Other than that, the only gusts will be with iso t-storms. I don't expect anything over 30-35mph
@Doug haha! Mainly dry... You got it!
@Debbie I am still doing weather cut-ins for Good Morning America. That might be interfering with the chat. Sorry about that.
@Jen Plan for a mainly dry but cloudy evening. An iso storm is possible but anything that does pop up in Geauga county should be brief. Have a backup plan just in case
@Debbie The ground is very dry and can soak up a lot. The steady soaking rain will hold off until Monday. I would still keep an eye on the weather and this chat page through today and tomorrow, if a storm pushes through your campsite it could get soggy
@Adam Monday and Monday evening will be when the Low will push through NE OH... That's when we have the best shot at seeing more steady rain. Will def. help our drought!
This chat is great because not only is it on newsnet5.com but you can access it on our newsnet5 App also! You can take this chat with you wherever you go
@Adam Plan for a mainly dry day but I am watching a wave that could give us a brief downpour. Not enough of a chance to carry an umbrella ALL DAY but keep a back up plan just in case.
@Karen the good news is that we are far from the Low. That means anything that does pop up will short lived with brief downpours, possible small hail (pea size) and a few rumbles of thunder.
@rebecca it'll be mostly cloudy and dry BUT there is a weak wave pushing our direction. Geneva should be far enough north to stay dry though. Keep a backup plan just in case
